3rd Annual Silicon Valley Music & Taco Festival
The event takes place at San Jose’s St. James Park, right in the heart of downtown’s historic district. This family friendly festival will showcase all local vendors exhibiting the latest in Mexican fusion cuisine along with traditional favorites from taco trucks to local restaurants and mixologists participating. Other activities scheduled include a mechanical bull, Lucha Libre—Mexican wrestling, Silent Disco, a VIP area, and much more.
The restaurant group behind Chacho’s Restaurant and Deluxe has joined forces with SF based Jaffe Events to produce the 3rd annual Silicon Valley music and taco festival which will span two days this year: August 19 and 20 from 11AM to 8PM for guests of all ages. Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
“Chacho’s Taco Festival is home of the officially sanctioned Major League Eating (MLE) contest. This is our third year hosting this fun and accessible festival the whole community can take part in. It’s a great day to get out and mingle with your neighbors and listen to amazing music from our lineup of 12 bands performing live. Bring the family to try a variety of local Mexican cuisine and participate in the taco eating contest. We even scheduled a $200 taco!” says serial restaurateur Jorge Sanchez.
